Residential Treatment for Substance Use & Co-Occurring Disorders
Our Residential Treatment Program Can Give You The Tools Needed To Maintain Long-Lasting Sobriety So You Can Live Without The Burden of Addiction.
What Is Residential Treatment?
Residential Treatment is a type of inpatient addiction treatment program that focuses on your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. This level of care is best for people in early recovery that have completed a medical detox program. Our program immerses you in a healing environment, rich with opportunities to deal with the underlying cause of your addiction. Unlike most inpatient treatment facilities, our center is designed to be a warm and welcoming healing environment, where you can focus solely on your recovery. At Midwest Detox Center, you are not a number. Our medical and clinical professionals evaluate each person’s unique needs and implements a custom treatment plan to ensure the best outcome.
Substance use and mental disorders affect people from all walks of life. The good news is, they are treatable and you can recover. Substance use disorders occur when the recurrent use of alcohol and/or drugs causes clinically significant impairment, including health problems, disability, and failure to meet major responsibilities at work, school, or home. Mental disorders involve changes in thinking, mood, and behavior. These disorders commonly affect how we interact with people and make choices. When a disorder limits or reduces a person’s ability to function, they may be formally diagnosed by a medical professional. Serious mental illness is defined by someone over 18 having a diagnosable mental, behavior, or emotional disorder that causes serious functional impairment which substantially interferes with, or limits, one or more major life activities. The coexistence of a mental health and substance use disorder is referred to as co-occurring disorders. The National Institute for Mental Health’s Mental Health Information page has information about specific conditions and disorders as well as their symptoms.
