Breaking from theme’s, like Star Wars Day and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band Night, the Toledo Mud Hens tackle a serious subject: heroin, with Hens and Heroin. The ball club has pledged 100 percent of the proceeds from the evening to helping with area addiction recovery. The Mud Hens collaborate with Team Recovery for this second team event to aid with heroin abuse. When the Hens take on the Gwinnett Braves, there will be bounce houses, games, food and information on heroin and addiction help. A panel about addiction will be held at 5pm at Hensville before the game starts at 7pm, followed after the game, by a free Facing the Demons sober concert at Hensville. 5pm-11pm. Thursday, June 29.
